Legal Interns
Northwest Defenders Association looks for
enthusiastic Rule 9 eligible law students interested in social justice to work as legal interns.
Rule 9 Interns are supervised by an experienced Northwest
Defenders Association attorney. Interns in the District
Court Unit represent clients charged with
misdemeanors. Interns may also assist Felony Unit and Dependency Unit attorneys with legal research and writing
assignments. The ability to communicate and work with clients of
diverse ethnic, cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds is a must.
Northwest Defenders Association does not compensate interns.
The agency is a work-study eligible
employer.
Interested law students should send resume, cover letter and
solely authored writing sample to David Roberson, Deputy Director,
Northwest Defenders Association, 1111 Third Avenue, Suite 200,
Seattle, WA 98101 or to
dave.roberson@nwdefenders.org.
